Irish Furniture Design makes a presence in Powerscourt's new space 'The Loft' during Design Week
The members and friends of the Irish Furniture Designers Network (IFDN) are very pleased to announce a forthcoming exhibition of new work to co-incide with the IDI Design Week 6-10 November 2006.
The venue is the exciting new exhibition space – ‘The Loft’ recently launched by Clarendon Properties on the top floor of the Powerscourt Townhouse centre, Dublin 2. This new venue links in with recent developments to the Design Centre and promises to be a truly innovative retail experience in fashion and interior product design.
The exhibitors include :
Gordon Byrne Design – showing a range
of new products which re-interpret some fundamental Irish design objects
in an inventive and humorous way. This project has been developed with
his design team and a number of manufacturers around Ireland

Imbue Furniture – John Doolin will be exhibiting his exquisite new
‘Fine Tuned’ dining table range in solid wood and tinted glass,
furthering his quest for minimal classic design

Leo Scarff Design – Scarff’s
recent design work for Monaghan based soft furniture manufacturer, Moy
furniture will be launched at the show. Moy’s new brand , ‘Mono’
includes four new collections, all designed by Scarff including 3 and
2 seater sofas, armchairs, ottomans and wingback chairs. All collections
will be available in personally selected quality fabrics and leather from
several retail outlets nationwide. The studio will also preview some new
storage and lighting products from it’s ever expanding range.

Brandscape – Conor McGuinness is responsible for a new wave of graphic design sweeping the streets of Dublin’s clubs and smarter retail outlets and continues his previous graphic work for the IFDN with a new image for this show and also provides the music and general entertainment for the evening with his ever witty tongue.
