open house dublin
The first ever Open House Dublin event – presented by the Irish Architecture Foundation – takes place over the weekend of Friday, 20 to Sunday, 22 October 2006. Buildings throughout the city – from historic tenements to modern architect-designed houses, which have been selected for their architectural quality and interest – open their doors for a unique experience of architecture. This is the first year that Dublin will join major cities around the world – including London, New York and Toronto – that host this exciting and immensely popular event annually.
At the heart of Open House Dublin is the theme of neighbourhood and we encourage you to explore new and established Dublin neighbourhoods through visiting buildings and taking part in walking and boat tours. All events are free of charge to ensure an inclusive and widely accessible experience. We hope you will join us in the inaugural Open House Dublin!
