RESEARCH FUNDING OPPORTUNITY FOR IRISH BUSINESS
What is the Enterprise Ireland – Innovation Research Voucher Scheme?
The Innovation Research Voucher scheme links small to medium size enterprises (sme) in Ireland with third level research institutions. Usually, companies approach Enterprise Ireland registered colleges seeking specific research expertise to dynamically develop their business. Research projects must create an innovative solution to a business problem. The solution must provide added value in the form of perpetual benefits to the sme.
Vouchers are worth €5000 each. Once approved, each voucher is valid for twelve months. The knowledge provider is paid directly by Enterprise Ireland at the conclusion of each research project. In certain instances, several sequential research vouchers can be sought by the sme to provide step changes to their business. However, clearly specified research must be concluded for each voucher before additional vouchers will be awarded. Companies can also pool resources as part of a common problem solving exercise.
The NCAD Design Faculty is very enthusiastic to participate in this initiative and have projects on stream. They attract very high calibre researchers who have the required knowledge and skill to deliver creative design innovation in the following departments:
· Ceramics, Glass and Metals (jewellery)
· Industrial Design
· Fashion and Textiles
· Visual Communication
Businesses interested in working with the NCAD using this research scheme should check out the Enterprise Ireland website link and contact the college:
