JURY DETAILS
Harry Schaffer Interior Architect / Artist
Harry Schaffer was born in Switzerland, studied in the USA and Basel.
He has worked on the design and development of furniture systems, several
land art projects in France and Switzerland and for clients such as Swiss
COM, Visplay, Globus and Strellson.
Frans Joziasse - PARK
Frans Joziasse is Dutch and is co-founder and director of PARK in Hamburg
at present. He also spent time as account director in NPK Duitsland, Hamburg,
senior consultant at DesignNet in Frankfurt, was co-founder and director
of EJOK, Rotterdam and designer at Dutch Railways. He has an MBA in Design
Management from the University of Westminster and an MSc in Industrial
Design from the University of Technology in Delft, Netherlands. He has
written many articles and given lectures on subjects from Design research
to Design Management for Universities and the DMI.
Kim Aldis
Kim Aldis is a freelance CG Artist, Technical Director and Consultant.
He has worked on several high profile such as the animated feature 'Barnyard'
with director Steve Oedekerk, Screenscene, Dublin for ŒBreakfast
on Pluto‚ with director Neil Jordon. Kim also worked in The Peerless
Camera Company working on 'The Brothers Grimm' and ŒPinocchio‚,
Jim Henson‚s Creature shop for ŒJack and the Beanstalk‚
and in 1993 formed the Aldis Animation Company in London.
Aldis Animation clients included Sci-Fi channel, ITV, BBC, Channel 4, E4, Psygnosis, The Cartoon Network, LWT, CITV, RTE Dublin, Universal, Bruce Dunlop Associates, Chris Morris, Vigilante, Hobbins Sides and Greys Advertising. He sold The Aldis Animation Company in 2001 and left to spend time freelancing.
Ranzie Anthony - Tonic
Ranzie Anthony is creative director & founding partner of Tonic, a
London based design consultancy. He heads up an 25 strong creative team
made up of a handpicked mix of animators, designers and developers. He
graduated from Kingston University and started his career at award winning
digital agency, Deepend. where he was promoted to Head of Design. In 1998,
Ranzie co-founded Tonic. With over 8 years experience in creating, developing
brands communications across printed, mobile and digital media Ranzie
continues to lead projects for clients that include Sony Europe, MTV Networks
Europe, Vodafone, Daihatsu, Art Directors Club of Europe and D&AD.
For his efforts, he has received several internationally coveted awards.
Ranzie is an active member of the D&AD, the Design Council and the Typographic circle. He has judged several industry and student award schemes, including D&AD Awards and lectures at a host of London colleges.
Simon Smith - Creative Partner, Weapon7
Simon has a background in Product design and console game design. He started
out at Static 2358 as Creative Manager behind the launch of PLAYJAM, was
then appointed to Head of Creative ay UPC in Amsterdam and Head of Ideas
at DiTV agency Phosphorus. He founded WEAPON 7 in 2001. He is on the D&AD
judging panel and a campaign face to watch. He has also received many
awards and accolades.
